How to use the Remove Duplicate Lines
- 1 Paste your list or text with one item per line.
- 2 Choose whether the comparison is case-sensitive and whether to ignore spaces or empty lines.
- 3 Copy or download the deduplicated list.
Clean up lists in one step
Mailing lists, keyword exports, log files and product feeds often contain the same entry several times. This tool keeps the first occurrence of every line and removes the rest, so the order of your list stays intact.
Options explained
- Case-sensitive – when enabled, Apple and apple are treated as different lines. Turn it off to catch duplicates that only differ in capitalisation, which is useful for email addresses and tags.
- Ignore surrounding spaces – leading and trailing spaces are stripped before comparing, so
appleandapplecount as the same entry. - Remove empty lines – blank lines are dropped entirely instead of being kept once.
The counters show how many lines you started with, how many unique lines remain and how many duplicates were removed.
Common uses
- Deduplicating email or customer lists before an import
- Merging keyword lists from several SEO tools
- Cleaning up copied spreadsheet columns
- Finding the unique values in a log file
Your data stays on your device
Lists often contain personal data such as email addresses. Because this tool runs entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded or stored.
