How to use the Reverse Text
- 1 Type or paste your text.
- 2 Choose whether to reverse characters, word order or line order.
- 3 Copy the reversed text.
Three ways to reverse text
- Characters – writes the whole text backwards: Hello world becomes dlrow olleH. Emoji and accented letters stay intact instead of turning into garbled symbols.
- Word order – keeps each word readable but reverses their sequence: one two three becomes three two one. Spacing between words is preserved.
- Line order – flips a list so the last line comes first, which is useful for logs, chat exports or chronological lists.
What is reversed text used for?
Backwards text is popular for puzzles, riddles and social media posts, and for checking palindromes such as racecar. Reversing line order helps when a system exports data newest-first and you need it oldest-first, or the other way round.
Private by default
The text is processed in your browser and never sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if a word is a palindrome?
Choose “Characters” and compare the result with the original. If they are identical (ignoring capitals and spaces), the word or sentence is a palindrome.
Does reversing work with emoji?
Yes. Each emoji is treated as one character, so it is not broken into invalid symbols.
Can I reverse the order of a list?
Yes, choose “Line order” to put the last line first.
