Sync settings

Choose what your account keeps in step on every device where you are signed in.

  • My tools

Always synced: the tools on your board, their order and size.

  • The windows open on your start page, including what you typed in them.

  • Every note in the notepad – on the notepad page, on your board and in windows.

  • Every list of website shortcuts – on the shortcuts page, on your board and in windows.

  • Every grid in the cover grid maker – on its page, on your board and in windows.

  • Every list of bookmarked organisations in the OIN lookup – on its page, on your board and in windows.

  • Keeps your pipeline and saved recipes on all your devices. Your files are never synced – only the steps and settings.

Turning something off removes it from your account straight away. Your devices keep their own copy.

Notifications

Tools that can tell you about something new while a Synsi tab is open, even when you are in another tab or app. Choose them for this browser.

This browser cannot show notifications from websites.
Notifications are blocked for this site. Allow them in your browser’s site settings (the icon left of the address), then switch them on here.
  • Says “New message” while a Synsi tab is open – never who wrote it or what.

Your choice is stored in this browser only. Notifications never show personal content such as a message or a number. They work while a Synsi tab is open; closed tabs get none.

File Explorer – Browse, Upload and Manage Your Saved Files

Your files in one place: browse folders, upload files from your device, rename, move, download or delete them. Private to your free account, nothing shown publicly.

My tools →

How to use the File Explorer

  1. 1 Sign in with a link by email (free, no password). Files you saved from tools such as the text editor appear here.
  2. 2 Open folders, sort by name, size or date, and use the filter to find a file in the current folder.
  3. 3 Click Upload files, or drop files onto the list, to add documents from your device. Use Rename, Move, Download or Delete on any file.

A simple file manager for your Synsi account

The file explorer shows My files: the documents you saved from Synsi tools, such as the online text editor, plus files you upload yourself. You can organise them in folders (up to four levels deep), sort and filter them, and open text files straight in the editor. It works on a phone, tablet or computer, and it can be placed on your start page as a widget or window next to your other tools.

What you can do

  • Browse folders with a breadcrumb path, and sort by name, size or date changed.
  • Filter the current folder by typing part of a name.
  • Upload files from your device with the Upload button or by dropping them on the list. If a name is already taken, the new file becomes “name (2)” instead of replacing the old one.
  • Rename files and folders, and move files to another folder.
  • Download any file, or all of them at once as a zip file.
  • Delete files and folders. Deleting is permanent and gives the space back immediately.

Your space and what can be stored

A free account has 100 MB of space, up to 1,000 files, and files of up to 10 MB. A bar shows how much is used. You can store plain-text files (.txt, .md, .csv, .json, .log), images (.png, .jpg, .gif, .webp) and PDF files. The content of a file has to match its type, so a renamed program cannot pass as a picture.

Private by design

Files are stored in a private area that only your account can open. They have no public web address, they are never shown to other visitors, and every download is served as a file download rather than displayed inside Synsi, which is how browsers are protected from hostile files. Deleting your account removes all your files. You can download everything before you go.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use the file explorer?

Yes. The files belong to a free Synsi account, so you sign in first (with an emailed link, no password). The other tools keep working without an account.

How much can I store?

A free account has 100 MB, up to 1,000 files and 10 MB per file. The bar under the list shows how much you have used.

Can anyone else see my files?

No. Files are private to your account and have no public address. There is no sharing feature.

Is deleting a file permanent?

Yes. A deleted file or folder is removed immediately and cannot be restored, so download anything you want to keep first.

Which file types can I upload?

Text files (.txt, .md, .csv, .json, .log), images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .webp) and PDF files.
