How to use the WebP to JPG
- 1 Choose the output format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and, for JPG and WebP, the quality.
- 2 Optionally make the images smaller: after you add an image, its width and height are filled in – lower one and the other follows to keep the aspect ratio.
- 3 Drop your images on the page and download them one by one or all at once as a ZIP file.
Why do I have WebP files?
Many websites serve images as WebP because it is smaller than JPG. When you save an image from such a site, you get a .webp file – which some older programs, printing services and upload forms don’t accept.
Convert once, use anywhere
JPG is supported by practically every device and program. Drop your WebP files here and download them as JPG, one by one or as a ZIP file. Transparent areas become white.
Quality
The WebP image is already compressed, so choose a high JPG quality (90 or more) to avoid adding a second round of visible compression.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I open WebP files?
Older software such as some versions of Photoshop, Windows Photo Viewer or print kiosks don’t support WebP. Converting to JPG solves this.
Can I convert animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted, because JPG cannot store animation.
